I mistakenly deleted my API key so applied for a new one for the same app. It's been in the state: "Waiting" for 4 days. I don't recall the turnaround time on the first key, but I am finding it difficult to develop my app during this waiting time (which is entirely my fault).
What is the average turnaround time for API key approval?
What call are you making? Can you provide more information to help debug? I would recommend trying out the dynamic iodocs with your apikey here:
http://developer.rottentomatoes.com/iodocs
You can plug your api key in and make several calls from there. If it works there but not within your development environment, I would try to investigate what's different.
I have the same request - a bug in my app created an overload of requests, and I revoked the key until it could be fixed. Could I have the new key activated? Thanks!
Hello everyone, I'm new here and really excited about the API service of R.T.
I have my API Key in waiting status. I suppose it takes a few days for it to be enabled?
I'm using the API on a couple different websites and would like to manage them with separate keys - could I please have my secondary API keys enabled? Thank you!
Hi Bryan, any updates on my keys? I'd also like to request more calls per day for the key that begins with "kfy" if possible? I think 20,000 would meet our needs. Thanks!

Hi Sivar,
Thanks for inquiring. You key has been enabled. We currently don't enable secondary keys until pinged.

Thanks Steve, the key appears to be active but when I make a call I get a 403 error (apparently my account is inactive?!)

Thanks Steve, I've got it working. User error I'm afraid! Copy & paste fail.

Bringing this back from the dead, I've got the same issue with a secondary key, may I please have it activated? Thanks.

Hi Jeff, I've activated your key. Please try it again.

No better place to ask I guess: I deleted my key after it was accidentally posted to a public repository, could I have my new one reactivated, please?
Thanks, Adam

@wbwebdev - your keys have been enabled. I'll email you separately about the increased threshold.

I keep receiving "account inactive" , meanwhile I am logged into my account...

Can you enable my key as well? thanks!
Lily – 3 months ago
@snailsky, are you still having the 'account inactive' problem?
@mkinderwater, your key is enabled
francdesro – 3 months ago
Hello, I posted in another thread about this but no one replied.
I also get the message {"error":"Account Inactive"}
I would be thankful if my key could be enabled.
Thank you.

Hi, applied for an API key 3 days ago now, was just wondering how long it takes for an api key to be set as active?
