You can find movie ids from the search endpoint. Search for a movie and it will give you a list of results with the movie id. See the documentation here. If you want an overview of the API and how it works, I would suggest reading the API Overview. If you want to try out the endpoints and see their response, you can check out this dynamic page which allows you to make example calls directly on the page.

I want to know the Movie Id for a specific movie so that I can put it in my API. Isn't there any list of Movies alongwith their API which I can browse through for looking up any movie of my choice ? The link you provided shows that for a movie "Jack and Jill" the name specified in the API is "Jack" . So how do I know which movie has been given what alias ? thanks
There isn't a full list of movies and their Rotten Tomatoes API movie ID provided as part of the Rotten Tomatoes API. If you are looking for a movie, you can search for it using the API and then get the search results (which will contain the movie id). The link I provided showed a search for "Jack" which returned the movie "Jack and Jill". "Jack" is not an alias, it is a search query, much like you would search for something on Google..
Are you looking to map ids in your database of movies with Rotten Tomatoes movie ids? If so, we do provide a full feed of all of our movies for partners. If this matches what you are trying to do, please contact the licensing department using the form here. Choose "Syndication (Data Feeds)" for the question "Which services are you interested in using?".

You can find the film ID for an individual movie from the source code under "movieid". ie: http://cld.jxpr.se/image/341t3i2E2K0N
This doesn't seem like a sensible way to retrieve it though, but I'm not really fully understanding the "endpoint" yet :)
I'm am creating a webpage that will list 100 movies of my choice. I would like to use the RT data for each film via the API - listing title, actors, year, etc. What would be the most efficient way of doing this? I'm assuming I can set up up a variable for each movie, like this:
var query = "18852";'
var query2 = "14562";
Then display the results of each variable on the page using the PHP or Jquery code examples. I'm experimenting with this now, and looking for any tips from experts as to the best way to do this without? Any pointers gratefully received.
